| Drip Detector | The drip detector is an "eye" that looks for drips as the pump runs. If it doesn't see drips periodically, it will stop the pump and the "occl. empty" light will come on. The audio alarm is disabled in my pumps, so you won't get annoyed at night if it should run empty. |
| Silicone Tubing | The silicone tubing is the actual "pump". By stretching the tubing around the rotor, the liquid being fed is pumped to the aquarium or sump at the rate set on the display. The tubing will last about 6 months, and replacement tubing costs $2/foot. Each pump needs 4 inches of tubing around the rotor. |
| Rotor | The rotor turns at a variable rate, depending upon the rate setting.. |
